Jack Herer, author of several books and tireless activist for cannabis and hemp, was one of the most influential voices in the modern anti-prohibition movement. Through his seminal work – the world-famous and enormously important The Emperor Wears No Clothes – he may have opened more people’s eyes to the suppressed history of hemp than anyone else.

Jack’s crusade to raise awareness across the United States and the world was fuelled by his deeply-held conviction that ignorance and vested interests are the main factors holding back cannabis legalisation and industrial hemp cultivation.

His books have been translated into several languages and for decades he travelled almost constantly, despite periods of ill-health, speaking at conferences and seminars all across Europe and his homeland.

When Ben created one of the greatest strains of all time, naming it in honour of his great friend and cannabis contemporary was the natural choice. Jack Herer the man loved Jack Herer the plant, and never failed to enthusiastically extol it on his many visits to Amsterdam. He is sadly missed by the Sensi family, and by all who continue his legacy.
