Super Skunk Automatic Wins First Prize at 2012 Highlife Cup!

In order to make high quality cannabis cultivation possible for more medicinal users and weed-lovers, White Label Seed Co. recently released three new feminised auto-flowering strains – White Haze Automatic, Super Skunk Automatic and Skunk #1 Automatic.

Within a few short months of being released, we’re delighted to announce that Super Skunk Automatic has been awarded First Prize in the auto-flowering category at the 2012 Highlife Cup in Amsterdam!

Super Skunk Automatic is bred directly from the legendary Super Skunk and shares the vigour, the beautiful bud formation and, of course, the extreme potency of her parent-strain!  As a mostly-Indica hybrid, Super Skunk Automatic has the strongest and most immediate effect of White Label’s three new feminised auto-flowering strains (though White Haze Automatic is known to have the strongest Sativa high).

Due to her fixed vegetative period, Super Skunk Auto is usually under 100cm tall by harvest time. Her rapid and productive flowering period fills her compact frame with masses of solid buds which are composed of the fat, resinous calyxes that are a feature of the Super Skunk strain.

Indoors, automatic varieties are usually given a light cycle of 14 to 18 hours per day, which remains constant throughout their vegetation and flowering phases. Outdoors, auto-flowering strains can be exposed to a gradually changing photoperiod and will flower regardless of whether the days are getting longer or shorter.

Super Skunk Auto generally begins flowering around six weeks after her seedlings are put into a bright light cycle, and her blooming phase is completed in six to eight weeks.
Auto-flowering strains can make life easier for people who don’t have the time or space to set up an indoor grow-room, for those who don’t have a garden or even a balcony, and for outdoor growers in locations which receive a cool, short or unpredictable summer.

Because auto-flowering strains produce buds according to the age of the plant, and not in response to the changing light cycle, their blooming phase can be timed to coincide with the brightest, sunniest months of summer. This also means auto strains can grow indoors, next to a sunny window, and still flower despite the irregular light cycle this usually entails.
