Blue Porcelain Feminized is a 70/30 indica hybrid developed by Aficionado French Connection in Sensi Seeds’ Breeding Grounds project. This strain is a cross of Black Domina, mixed with a blend of Ivory Breath (originally bred in Spain by Professor Q during the COVID-19 lockdowns) and Pianono; two Aficionado originals known for their robust lineages and impressive potency.

As an indica-dominant hybrid, these plants are on the shorter side and feature dense buds, minimal vegetation, and breathtaking dark purple/black hues that give these buds a truly striking appearance. Despite their compact size, these plants have the potential for heavy yields, making this strain a favourite for growers concerned with space.

Growth pattern of Blue Porcelain Feminized

Blue Porcelain Feminized cannabis seeds commonly grow into short and compact plants with a strong central cola, symmetrical lateral branching, fairly long internodal spacing, and dozens of dense, thick, though smallish popcorn-style buds from the strain’s Ivory Breath parent and striking black foliage.

When grown indoors, growers can look forward to plants that finish flowering at a height of roughly 25-80 cm, though they still boast heavy yields of 400-550 grams per square metre. If grown outdoors, these plants can grow slightly larger, though they are still unlikely to get any taller than 125 cm while generating as much as 475-650 grams per plant. Wherever they’re grown, Blue Porcelain Feminized has a relatively quick flowering time of 60 to 65 days.

Once harvested, dried, and cured, these flowers are roughly grape-sized, featuring fairly large popcorn bracts, which stack into remarkably dense clusters. Coating the buds, expect an ultra-frosted blanket of resin on top of cream-coloured pistils and the strain’s signature dark blue-black and deep violet hues, which become even more pronounced in cooler climates.

Blue Porcelain Feminized plants are a great fit for a Sea of green (SOG) grow, thanks to their compact structure and incredibly dense buds. Those same traits also mean that this strain responds well to lollipopping. While these plants can be grown in a screen of green (SCROG), their slow vegetative growth can make this a slow process.

Effects, taste, and smell of Blue Porcelain Feminized

As Blue Porcelain Feminized plants approach harvest, growers should expect a truly powerful aroma boasting loud notes of grape gelato, syrupy berry sweetness, creamy key lime and sorbet frosting, and a subtly light floral candy flavour. This is all dancing on top of more pungent underlying hints of gas, musk, and turpentine from Ivory Breath, creating a layered and complicated odour.

After curing, the flowers’ aroma is sharp and bold, with the same notes of bubbly grape soda, blueberry gelato, creamy, zesty lime, and sweet sorbet. These are layered on top of an underlying bouquet of incense, floral candy, and a sharp, gassy musk. This all leads into the flavour, which is dominated by the same deep grape and lime sorbet notes on the inhale, while the exhale delivers the musky, gassy flavours that leave behind a slightly floral, perfumy aftertaste.

The effects of Blue Porcelain Feminized are warm and euphoric with a deep body stone that’s common to so many indicas. Things kick off with a slight mental boost that’s followed by a physical unwind, which is deeply relaxing without being sedating.
