Pineapple Blossom Feminized is a 60/40 sativa/indica hybrid bred for the Sensi Seeds Breeding Grounds project together with our friend Serge Cannabis. To create this strain, the breeders started with their popular Pineapple Jack and then crossed that with Lotus Flower, a secret cut from Serge’s vault.
Pineapple Blossom Feminized is perfect for growers looking for a hassle-free strain that’s able to deliver heavy yields without much extra effort. These plants perform remarkably well when left alone as long as they are regularly watered, making them perfect for newer growers or simply those too busy for daily plant maintenance. However, more hands-on growers will appreciate how well these plants respond to low-stress and high-stress training techniques.
Pineapple Blossom Feminized cannabis seeds typically grow into medium-sized plants with a fairly open structure, ideal for airflow and light penetration. Growers can expect plants that are dominated by a single massive cola occupying the upper third of the plant, while strong lateral branches grow along medium internodal spacing. The lower branches tend to grow outwards as much as upwards, meaning these plants can occupy a fair bit of space. Despite the heavy buds, the lower branches are capable of supporting themselves without assistance.
Indoors, these plants commonly reach maturity at heights of 70-110 cm and can generate heavy yields in the range of 400-550 grams per square metre over their somewhat slow 65 to 70-day flowering period. Outdoors, growers can expect Pineapple Blossom Feminized plants to reach heights of 100-200 cm and produce as much as 475-650 grams per plant.
The buds that are harvested from Pineapple Blossom Feminized plants are largely conical and a bright lime green with gold highlights and fine, bright orange pistils. These flowers are relatively dense, though still fluffy enough for rapid drying and curing. The flowers are almost dripping with resin and have high terpene production, making them ideal for creating extracts. Growers should anticipate a large number of somewhat small flowers with minimal vegetation, which can all combine to make trimming a time-consuming chore.
Pineapple Blossom Feminized plants are ideal for busy or inexperienced growers as they require little to no training or attention beyond the basics. While their bushy vegetation can benefit from some light defoliation, the open, sativa-like structure makes it largely unnecessary. However, these plants do respond well to low-stress training and can be grown in a screen of green (SCROG) setup. Also, they are a good fit for lollipopping and mainlining. If flowered early, these plants can be grown in a sea of green (SOG), though their long, bushy branches can make this less than ideal.
As harvest approaches, Pineapple Blossom Feminized plants can begin to give off a sharp tropical citrus aroma with notes of pineapple rind, zesty orange peel, and a sweet-garlic funk from the Lotus Flower lineage. This scent is certainly distinct, though it is unlikely to become overwhelming, meaning that privacy-minded growers shouldn’t need to worry too much.
After the flowers have been fully dried and cured, the scent of these flowers is characterised by notes of Fresh fruit peels, gassy diesel, sweet, sugary syrup, subtle haze spice, and a faint creamy undertone that balances things out. The flavour is equally layered with a bright citrus taste leading the way before sweeter, more tropical notes appear. On the back end, expect a peppery haze that gives way to savoury, diesel exhale with faint hints of garlic.
