Sour Sherb Feminized is a 60% sativa-dominant hybrid developed by the breeders of Sensi Seeds and Sherbinkis, as part of the Sensi Seeds Breeding Grounds project. This strain was developed by crossing AJ’s Cut of Sour Diesel (a unique phenotype created in the early 2000s) with Sunset Sherbert to add Girl Scout Cookies and Kush genetics. The result is a sweet-and-sour blend with a balanced, energising high.
These plants can grow to monstrous sizes that can make indoor cultivation difficult. However, their fairly versatile structure means that they respond well to several advanced growing techniques, allowing experienced gardeners to get the most out of this strain. Sour Sherb Feminized plants perform best in a warm, semi-humid, Mediterranean environment.
Sour Sherb Feminized cannabis seeds are known to grow into exceptionally large plants, featuring long, upright branches with a thick central cola. The robust lateral branches grow from moderate internodal spacing, and their flexible nature makes them ideal for low-stress training. While these branches form a dense canopy, the stretched inner nodes allow for excellent light penetration and airflow.
If grown indoors, the tall plants can easily reach heights of 100-160 cm, with significant stretch in the first weeks of flowering. Over their 65 to 70-day flowering period, indoor plants can grow XXL harvests of up to 460-650 grams per square metre. If given room to grow outdoors, Sour Sherb Feminized plants can reach towering heights of up to 300 cm and generate as much as 550-750 grams per plant.
The flowers from these plants are dense, conical, and covered in a thick layer of sugary trichomes. Underneath, the buds are a rich, deep green with purple or magenta highlights from the Sunset Sherbet lineage. This is all covered by pale orange pistils evenly scattered across the surface. With minimal vegetation, a firm density, and moderate resin production, trimming these flowers takes no time at all.
As a tall, sativa-dominant strain, Sour Sherb Feminized plants are poorly suited for a sea of green (SOG) setup, but can thrive in a screen of green (SCROG), thanks to their sturdy branches, longer internodal spacing, and explosive vegetative growth. Likewise, mainlining and lollipopping are also great choices for growers, particularly indoors.
As Sour Sherb Feminized plants near harvest, growers should expect a powerful aroma that perfectly blends sweet fuel, sour citrus, tropical fruit, and creamy sherbet undertones. This smell is as big and bold as the plant itself, so growers (indoors or out) who value discretion will want to take extra precautions. Once dried, the buds’ gassy notes sharpen to take the lead, while a more subtle, though quite distinct, sugary dessert taste adds depth with hints of orange and berry.
The flavour is perfectly in line with all of these bold scents and should be familiar to any fans of the classic Sour Diesel. As a twist, though, the first thing users will notice is a sweet citrus sherbet that quickly melts into the trademark gas and fuel notes. This multi-layered flavour finishes with a lingering creamy berry aftertaste that’s sure to keep you coming back for more.
The effects of Sour Sherb Feminized are distinctly sativa, as things start off with a cerebral, uplifting, and extremely burst of creative energy that’s sure to have you itching for a project. Over time, this gradually and smoothly transitions into a more balanced, euphoric body relaxation that won’t cause sedation. This strain is stimulating without ever becoming overbearing or causing anxiety, making it an ideal pick for daytime use and social activities.
