In this documentary from 1994, the Dutch tolerant stance is put under scrutiny by the reporters to shed some light on its inner workings. Everything gets scrutinized, from women’s rights, to drug use to prostitution and the re-integration of hemp cultivation. With testimonies and interviews ranging from politicians to police officers and even one of our own, Alan Dronkers from the Hash Marihuana & Hemp Museum, they give an excellent overview of what the situation was like more than 20 years ago.

What is sad to see is that Dutch tolerance have gone down hill since then, with laws tightening up despite overwhelming evidence towards the counter-productive effects of prohibition, in all its forms.
