Vienna Cotta Feminized is a 65/35 indica-dominant hybrid developed by the team at Aficionado French Connection as part of the Sensi Seeds’ Breeding Grounds project. To create this strain, breeders started off with the classic Garlic Bud (a Seed Bank of Holland original based on Afghan landrace strains) and then crossed that with a blend of Strudel (a Biscotti BX1 phenotype) and Pianono (Key Lime Pie & Sorbetto) developed by Aficionado and bred outdoors at their facility in Colombia.

The result is a fairly compact, versatile strain capable of producing heavy yields. These highly resinous buds are a perfect choice for creating extracts, and the plants’ manageable height makes them ideal for indoor growers working with limited headroom. Overall, though, these plants are quite versatile, and growers should have little trouble slotting them into nearly any setup, though they thrive in warm, low-humidity environments.

Growth pattern of Vienna Cotta Feminized

Vienna Cotta Feminized cannabis seeds can be expected to grow into rather compact plants with internodal spacing slightly longer than a typical indica. Growers can look forward to a large and symmetrical central cola that rises only slightly above the lower canopy. Further down, these plants have fairly slender lateral branches, which can become weighed down by the dense, resin-coated buds.

Vienna Cotta Feminized plants perform incredibly well indoors and typically reach maturity at a height of 25-80 cm while generating heavy yields of as much as 400-550 grams per square metre. Outdoors, these plants can grow slightly taller, topping out at around 125 cm and producing up to 475-650 grams per plant over their somewhat short 60 to 65-day flowering period.

The fairly even branch size and slightly longer internodal spacing also make this strain a decent choice for a screen of green (SCROG), though its slow vegetative growth can make this a time-consuming prospect.
