Snow Piercer Feminized is a 65% sativa-dominant strain created as a collaboration with Humboldt Seed Company as part of the Sensi Seeds Breeding Grounds project. To create this strain, breeders started with Sensi Seeds’ classic Northern Lights #5 x Haze and then crossed that with Humboldt’s Hella Jelly to balance out the sativa lineage with some indica influence from Kush and Afghani genetics from Very Cherry and Notorious THC.

Despite these indica influences, Snow Piercer Feminized plants are still distinctly sativa and can quickly outgrow confined spaces without proper training. Fortunately, these plants respond well to a range of low- and high-stress training techniques, making them ideal for more experienced growers as well as ambitious newbies. Indoors or out, this strain performs best in warm, semi-humid Mediterranean environments.

Growth pattern of Snow Piercer Feminized

Snow Piercer Feminized cannabis seeds lean into their sativa genetics and develop into rather tall plants with moderate internodal spacing and long, thick lateral branches. Thanks to the Haze influence, these plants can have significant stretch in the early weeks of flowering, so growers who are concerned with space may want to flower these a little early and may want to consider some high-stress training like topping or mainlining. Expect a Christmas tree-shaped plant with a single main cola running the upper third of the plant and a fairly open, airy lower canopy.

When grown indoors, these plants can easily reach heights of 100-160 cm, though they’ll likely end up on the upper end of this, if not slightly taller, without intervention. These plants use that size to generate heavy yields of 400-550 grams per square metre over their somewhat slow 65 to 70-day flowering period. Outdoors, these plants can explode into absolute monsters, easily capable of reaching heights of 300 cm or more and producing up to 475-650 grams per plant.

The buds that are harvested from Snow Piercer Feminized plants are dense cones with deep lime green hues and subtle purple highlights from the Hella Jelly line. These buds are practically glowing beneath their incredibly thick layer of trichomes and thick, orange/amber pistils. The heavy flowers can cause some of the lower branches to buckle, so some extra support in the weeks before harvest may be needed. These sticky, greasy, resinous flowers have fairly light vegetation, but will gum up scissors fast.

Due to their massive stretch, wide frame, and towering height, these plants can be genuinely challenging to grow indoors, even for seasoned growers. Thankfully, they respond incredibly well to a range of advanced growing techniques and are a perfect fit for a screen of green (SCROG), lollipopping, or mainlining. However, their massive size makes a sea of green (SOG) a near impossibility.

Effects, taste, and smell of Snow Piercer Feminized

As flowering sets in, growers can expect their Snow Piercer Feminized plants to develop a sweet aroma highlighted by fresh berries and sugary jelly. This sweet smell is accompanied by notes of grape candy, hazy pine, fresh citrus peel, and even a subtle incense scent beneath it all. As these plants are so large, productive, and unruly, it shouldn’t be a surprise that their smell is equally imposing, and growers who value discretion may have a hard time controlling this odour.

After the buds have been fully cured, the dried buds take on a complex scent that’s still dominated by sugary, fruity notes. These are highlighted by layers of sandalwood haze, a creamy floral sweetness, and a resinous pine backend. The flavour is equally enticing with sweet grape jelly taking centre stage while blue raspberry sherbet, lemongrass haze, and sweet pine notes mix with a spicy incense finish.

The effects of Snow Piercer Feminized are distinctly sativa, with an instant, hard-hitting uplift that’s cerebral, giggly, and motivating; perfect for tackling a creative project. The high is clear-headed but trippy with a classically Haze sparkle.
