Cherry Strudel Feminized is a 65% indica-dominant hybrid created by crossing Ed Rosenthal Super Bud with a blend of Red Velvet and Lemon Cherry Gelato. Sensi Seeds developed this unique hybrid strain alongside our friends at Sherbinskis, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Ed Rosenthal Super Bud is a Sensi Seeds original that perfectly blends indica and sativa genetics, while the other parent brings in Sunset Sherbert and Girl Scout Cookies.
The result is a somewhat smaller-than-average-sized plant with high yields that responds extremely well to a wide range of advanced growing techniques such as scrogging or lollipopping. With a bushy structure and a dominant central cola, these plants are a good fit for almost any indoor or outdoor setup.
Cherry Strudel Feminized cannabis seeds grow into relatively short, yet highly productive, plants. These vigorous hybrids boast a balanced, bushy structure and strong lateral branches capable of supporting the rather dense buds. Overall, this strain develops a dominant central cola surrounded by dense, secondary buds, giving it that classic Christmas tree shape.
If grown indoors, Cherry Strudel Feminized plants typically reach maturity at a height of only 70-100 cm but are still capable of producing high yields of 400-500 grams per square metre. When these plants are grown under natural sunlight, growers should expect them to reach nearly double that size, with heights of 100-175 cm being the norm, and yields of 475-600 grams per plant. Either way, these plants are on the slower end with an average flowering time of 65 to 70 days.
The buds from Cherry Strudel Feminized are dense, drenched in resin, and feature truly stunning shades of deep purple, burgundy, and lime green. From top to bottom, these flowers are covered in bright orange pistils and a heavy coating of glistening trichomes, which give the buds a frosted, almost jewel-like appearance. Overall, the buds are long and slender—though quite dense—and aren’t terribly leafy, which makes trimming a relative breeze.
Thanks to this plant’s relatively balanced growth pattern, Cherry Strudel Feminized cannabis plants respond quite well to a wide range of advanced growing techniques. Their strong lateral branches and moderate stretch make them prime candidates for mainlining or a screen of green (SCROG) setup. Likewise, their dominant central cola responds particularly well to lollipopping. If flowered early, this strain can also be grown in a sea of green (SOG).
As Cherry Strudel Feminized plants begin to flower, growers should expect a bold, fruity fragrance to fill the grow space, combining notes of sweet cherries, zesty citrus, and more subtle earthy undertones. As flowering progresses, this aroma intensifies, and additional hints of creamy berries become noticeable.
After the buds have been properly cured, expect a decadent blend of cherry sorbet, lemon zest, and creamy vanilla with subtle earthy undertones, which all combine to create a scent that is both dessert-like and fresh. These same notes all come across in the delicious flavour with bright citrus, tangy cherries, and a burst of tropical sweetness hitting hard on the inhale. On the back end, look forward to deeper notes of red berries and creamy vanilla.
The effects of Cherry Strudel Feminized are remarkably well-rounded. Things kick off with a euphoric burst of mental clarity and uplifting energy that’s sure to put a smile on your face. Gradually, this transitions into a deep, calming body relaxation that’s enough to soothe aching muscles without locking users to the couch. Overall, this strain is ideal for both social situations and solo relaxation, striking a balance between creativity and tranquillity.
