Muskato Feminized is a 70% indica-dominant hybrid developed by Leo Stone and Professor Q at Aficionado French Connection at their outdoor breeding compound in Colombia as a part of the Sensi Seeds Breeding Grounds project. To create this one-of-a-kind strain, breeders started with Beronx: a blend of Pianono (Key Lime Pie and Sorbetto) and then crossed that with the Original French Connection Skunk, a strain whose genetics go back to the 1970s. This was then bred with The Pure, a unique version of Original Skunk #1 from Flying Dutchmen.
The result is an elite hybrid combining old-world musk, shimmering citrus-cream sorbet notes, and a funky, savoury edge rarely achieved in modern cannabis strains. These plants tend to stay on the shorter side with a bushy structure and heavy yields, making them a great choice for growers who want to capture a piece of cannabis history but might struggle with headroom.
Muskato Feminized cannabis seeds grow into fairly compact plants with a dense and bushy structure and rather tight internodal spacing. The lateral branches are thick and robust, easily capable of supporting the plant’s dense buds. The branches, though, stay on the shorter end, giving the finished plant a rather cylindrical shape with a uniform canopy. Growers should expect these plants to more than double in size during the early weeks of flowering.
When grown indoors, Muskato Feminized plants are unlikely to exceed 85 cm, making them ideal for indoor growers with limited space. Despite their size, these plants can generate heavy yields of 400-550 grams per square metre over their 60 to 65-day flowering cycle. If grown outdoors, this strain can reach heights of 75-125 cm while producing as much as 475-650 grams per plant.
The buds from Muskato Feminized feature chunky, bulbous calyxes growing in tight stacks, covered in a heavy layer of trichomes, and deep green hues with pastel highlights. The flowers are almost dripping with resin, especially around the bract tips. Overall, these are dense, sticky flowers reminiscent of elite Skunk and dessert hybrids.
This strain’s compact size, moderate stretch, and tight internodal spacing make it a great pick for a sea of green (SOG) grow, and the plants typically respond well to lollipopping. However, those same factors make Muskato Feminized a sub-par pick for a screen of green (SCROG) or mainlining.
As Muskato Feminized cannabis plants approach harvest, growers can look forward to a musky funk dominated by old-school Skunk. This pungent aroma is perfectly paired with layers of sweet candy, creamy lime dessert notes from the Pinanono parent, a subtle cheesy tang, and whispers of gas and ammonia just beneath it all.
Once the buds have been properly cured, opening a jar of Muskato Feminized fills the room with a powerful odour that’s a fusion of classic European Skunk with modern dessert-citrus elegance. Expect a funky musk with a dessert-like sweetness, refreshing lime cream, and tangy fermented notes that are all perfectly complemented by hints of subtle gas and a soft herbal spice.
Sampling Muskato Feminized unleashes all of these same notes with a musky-sweet taste dominating the inhale. This gives way to lime custard and creamy dessert notes before settling into a funky, cheddar-gas finish and subtle spicy, earthy musk aftertaste. Overall, the flavour is a rich, savoury-sweet balance of aged cheese and lemon pastry.
The effects of Muskato Feminized are deeply relaxing with a clear-headed, though grounding, high. Things kick off with a burst of cerebral euphoria that quickly shifts to a musky, soothing finish. Overall, this strain is ideal for a relaxing evening, dull tasks that still require your focus, or total sensory immersion in whatever you’re doing. The high is deeply calming without causing couch-lock: warm, contemplative, and rich.
