Caramel Pineapple Feminized is a 60% indica-dominant hybrid developed by Sensi Seeds’ Breeding Grounds alongside the crew at Death Row Records. This strain comes from a blend of SFV OG and Jamaican Roadkill Skunk; two well-established strains in West Coast genetics. SFV OG (San Fernando Valley OG) is a sativa-dominant kush relative, while Jamaican Roadkill Skunk is a descendant of Skunk #1 and the original Afghani landrace strain.
Despite their largely indica genetics, these plants are distinctly sativa-like in their growth pattern and effects. Tall and lanky with an uplifting high and XL yields, these plants respond well to a wide range of advanced growing techniques. However, they can outgrow smaller indoor setups if not properly monitored, which when combined with their intense aroma, can make them somewhat difficult to grow indoors.
Caramel Pineapple Feminized cannabis seeds grow into fairly tall plants with long slender branches and somewhat stretched-out internodal spacing. Indoor growers can expect these plants to reach heights of 110-160 cm and produce XL yields of 460-650 grams per square metre over their 60 to 65-day flowering period. If grown outdoors, these plants can reach heights of up to 300 cm, with yields as high as 640 grams per plant.
The buds are pointy and dense, with a long, thick cola developing at the top of each branch. They are frosted with a thick layer of trichomes, pale orange hairs, and moderate leaf growth. The leaves are fairly large with moderate spacing, which makes trimming a relatively simple task. The resin and trichome production make these flowers a fantastic choice for creating extracts.
These plants’ height can make them a bit tricky for indoor growers with limited headroom, so flowering them a bit sooner than normal may be a good idea. Fortunately, this strain responds rather well to a majority of advanced growing techniques.
Their somewhat long internodal spacing and rapid growth make them well-suited for mainlining or a screen of green (SCROG) setup, while their dense buds and large colas mean that they respond well to lollipopping. However, the thin branches aren’t an ideal pick for supercropping, and the plants’ height makes them poorly suited for a sea of green (SOG) grow.
While flowering, Caramel Pineapple Feminized plants give off a powerful aroma which blends strong, earthy pine notes from SFV OG with an equally intensely sour pineapple scent. As the plant reaches maturity, these are joined by a hashy, resinous smell. Overall, the aroma of these plants should be a major consideration for any grower who values discretion whether indoors or out.
Once the buds have been properly cured, the smell mellows a bit but retains all of the earthy pine and skunky lemon notes alongside a strong pineapple smell. The flavour is equally bold with the same earthy pine notes dominating the inhale with hints of sour pineapple. On the back end, things are very smooth, with hash and caramel-like flavours blending perfectly to provide a classic old-school vibe before finishing off with a balanced piney aftertaste.
The effects of Caramel Pineapple Feminized are primarily sativa-like with a soothing cerebral high that delivers an uplifting euphoria and mental clarity. The high is surprisingly long-lasting and gradually gives way to a more balanced mix of mental clarity followed by deep physical relaxation. Overall, this strain is ideal for socialising or working on your next project.
