Papaya Jealousy Feminized is a 60%/40% indica-dominant hybrid bred from a cross of two other indica powerhouses: Papaya and Jealousy. This Sensi Seeds original traces its roots back to our legendary Jack Herer which, when crossed with the equally iconic Skunk #1, gave birth to the Papaya strain. The Jack Herer influence on Papaya Jealousy is strong as this strain has inherited its predecessor’s potency and yield.
On the other hand, Papaya Jealousy leans into its indica genetics when it comes to its growth pattern. These plants are short, compact, and robust but still provide an impressive yield of incredibly resinous buds. Combined with its relatively short flowering period, Papaya Jealousy is a great choice for almost any setup.
As a 60% indica, Papaya Jealousy Feminized cannabis seeds typically grow into short and stocky plants with robust branches and compact internodal spacing. Indoors, these plants typically top out between 70-110 cm while outdoor growers can expect them to grow anywhere from 100-200 cm.
Regardless of where they’re grown, growers can look forward to large yields ranging from 350 to 475 grams per square metre indoors or 400 to 550 grams per plant under natural light over its relatively short 60 to 65-day flowering cycle.
Bred with indoor growers in mind, Papaya Jealousy Feminized thrives in a more Mediterranean climate with slightly higher temperatures and humidity levels. Keep in mind that the dense buds and short nature will mean that adequate airflow is extra important.
This compact stature makes this strain a prime candidate for more advanced growing techniques such as Sea of Green (SOG) and Lollipopping. However, the relatively slow growth during vegetation and short internodal spacing make techniques like Screen of Green (SCROG) or mainlining a poor match for Papaya Jealousy.
Regardless of how or where you grow it, this strain will produce dense clusters of round buds covered in a thick layer of trichomes. Under certain conditions, the leaves and buds will take on a distinct purple hue as the plant reaches maturity which gives this strain a truly striking appearance. These dense buds are incredibly rich in resin and make a fantastic choice for creating extracts such as hash or rosin.
While growing, Papaya Jealousy Feminized gives off a strong tropical aroma dominated by notes of ripe papaya. Just beneath that, though, stirs a subtle hint of musk and sweetness from the strain’s Jealousy lineage. The aroma is somewhat pronounced and growers who value discretion may wish to take extra steps to manage it.
Once cured, the buds take on an equally sweet, tropical papaya flavour combined with creamy and fruity undertones, hints of citrus and an earthy musk that adds another layer of complexity to the strains’ pleasing scent. Many of these same notes are apparent in the flavour which is smooth and juicy on the inhale with a pleasant, creamy, and tropical papaya flavour that leaves a rich and sweet aftertaste.
As for the effects of Papaya Jealousy Feminized, they can only be described as “powerful” and “balanced”. These potent buds will have users feeling the effects almost immediately as a burst of mental clarity and euphoria hit almost immediately. These are gradually offset by the more relaxing indica effects which do just enough to take the edge off without being overly sedative. Overall, this strain is a great choice for an afternoon of board games or an early-evening social gathering.
