About Purple Bud Feminized
Purple Bud Feminized is a strain that produces mostly purple-flowering plants. It was developed by breeding an Afghan-Jamaican cross with a double-Kush hybrid. As such, Purple Bud Feminized offers large yields, and an uplifting, yet relaxing effect. The plants frequently produce striking purple-coloured flowers under most growing conditions.
We drew on the outstanding cannabis heritage of Jamaica and Afghanistan to create Purple Bud Feminized. It’s easy to cultivate indoors or out, even in cold climates with summers that end quickly. Low temperatures will actually encourage the plants to become more purple as flowering progresses, resulting in a colourful harvest of dense buds. The effect is a long-lasting sense of cheerful relaxation, perfect for social or solo consumption.
Growth pattern of Purple Bud Feminized
White Label’s Purple Bud Feminized cannabis seeds have been developed from the Hindu Kush range, which includes some of the most prized indica strains in the world. The plants are typically indica in growth structure, with sturdy, short stems and branches.
However, they’re a little taller than average indicas, which gives away their sativa component. Purple Bud Feminized can be kept compact by ensuring the vegetation stage is short; alternatively, the plants can be made taller by extending it.
The strain is robust and able to withstand most minor cultivation issues. Even those with little experience should be able to generate good results from this strain; along with White Skunk, it is recognised as an excellent ‘beginner’s option’.
Purple Bud Feminized has a short flowering time, with a blooming cycle of about nine weeks. During this time, a sizeable yield of purple flowers appears around the nodes, and up the stem and branches. The buds are dense, solid and spiky, and have a thick coating of trichomes.
As with all ‘purple weed’ strains, the leaves and flowers may begin to turn violet if exposed to lower temperatures. However, as each plant is an individual, some of them will always remain green. This is due to naturally occurring variation, and is very much a characteristic of this type of cannabis.
However, the Purple Bud family has been carefully bred to maximise purple coloration, and many of the plants will display shades of purple as the flowering stage comes to an end. Some may even have purple-hued leaves, while others will retain green leaves which contrast beautifully with the purple cannabis flowers.
Purple Bud Feminized grows well indoors, and the Sea of Green (SOG) and Screen of Green (SCROG) methods are both good options during cultivation. The plants also respond well to topping, which creates multiple main stems and colas.
It can be grown outside, in temperate and continental climates. When planted in early spring, in free soil, Purple Bud Feminized is capable of achieving considerable heights for a ‘compact’ plant, and is likely to produce an excellent harvest.
Effect, taste, and smell of Purple Bud Feminized by White Label
Purple Bud Feminized has the classic earthy scent of an indica hybrid, combined with a herbal sweetness and hints of blueberry. This aroma intensifies as the plant enters the flowering period.
Upon consumption, growers will notice that the sweet notes come through strongly, and are balanced with a hint of spice and pine. Some people favour vaping the buds to ensure that the flavours are fully released.
Thanks to its indica / sativa parentage, Purple Bud Feminized produces an initial uplifting high. This then smoothly develops into a deeply relaxing feeling, which can last a couple of hours or longer. Some users claim that it’s a good ‘bedtime’ option, as it has a pleasantly soporific effect. However, larger quantities can have the opposite effect and make the mind more active.

... where do I start, we each ordered 3+1 seeds. At first, only 5 germinated. We then stored three seeds in the refrigerator for 5 days. Fortunately, a seed sprouted after that. The plants grew quite quickly, but also had a lot of distance between the nodes. 5 nodes are definitely too many, until the first top. With the offshoots, we topped the first time after the third node, which gave very bushy plants. After 5 weeks of veggie at 18/6, we switched to 12/12. ATTENTION! ... the plants go into an extreme stretch. We fertilized minerally. Many flowers developed, which became beautiful large colas towards the end. We topped several times before flowering and applied LST to keep the plants low and shape. 3 days before the changeover to 12/12 we defoliated generously. In week 4 of flowering, we repeated the defoiling and removed smaller shoots that get too little light and take energy away from the main flower. We use a SCROG net, otherwise the plants would have become too tall. The grow took place from mid-September to mid-February. In between, the temperatures in the tent were 2 or 3 times around 15°C during the dark phase. Unfortunately, we put the dark phase in the night, whereupon the room in which the tent stood cooled down considerably. We will never do that again. These genetics do need care and regular watering. The purple color came late, about the 7th week. We gave the plants dry periods because of Youtube videos, they didn't tolerate that well. Two plants were so stressed by it that they hermaphroditized and produced seeds, one of the two got foxtails. The harvest volume was still high. It's a pity that we could only keep 100 grams. From the wet to dry ratio, we would have received about 1200 grams of dry harvest of 3m² with 1200 watt LED, including the two plants with seeds. The taste and smell is very pleasant and round, no scratching in the throat, combined with ethereal nuances. Not necessarily the party weed, but still very potent. It contained between 18 and 21% THC and under 2% CBD. Purple bud forgives a lot and also tolerates the cold season. We did a lot wrong, but also a lot right. We will grow Purple Bud again. Definitely suitable for beginners.

... wo fange ich an, wir haben jeder 3+1 Samen bestellt. Zunächst keimten nur 5. Drei Samen lagerten wir dann 5 Tage im Kühlschrank. Danach ging zum Glück noch ein Samen auf. Die Pflanzen wuchsen recht schnell, hatten aber auch sehr viel Abstand zwischen den Nodien. 5 Nodien sind definitiv zu viele, bis zum ersten toppen. Bei den Ablegern haben wir nach der dritten Nodie das erste Mal getoppt, das gab sehr buschige Pflanzen. Nach 5 Wochen Veggie mit 18/6, stellten wir auf 12/12 um. ACHTUNG! ... die Pflanzen gehen in einen extremen stretch. Wir haben mineralisch gedüngt. Es entwickelten sich viele Blüten, welche zum Ende hin schöne große Colas wurden. Wir haben vor der Blüten mehrfach getoppt und LST angewendet um die Pflanzen niedrig zu halten und zu formen. 3 Tage vor der Umstellung auf 12/12 haben wir großzügig entlaubt. In Woche 4 der Blüte haben wir das defoiling wiederholt und kleinere Triebe, die zu wenig Licht bekommen und der Hauptblüte Energie nehmen entfernt. Wir benutzen ein SCROG Netz, anders wären die Pflanzen zu hoch geworden. Der grow fand von Mitte September bis Mitte Februar statt. Zwischdurch waren die Temperaturen im Zelt 2 oder 3 mal um die 15°C während der Dunkelphase. Leider haben wir die Dunkelphase in die Nacht gelegt, worauf hin der Raum in welchem das Zelt stand stark abkühlte. Das werden wir nie wieder tun. Diese Genetik braucht schon Pflege und regelmäßiges Gießen. Die purple color kam erst spät, etwa in der 7 Woche. Wir haben die aufgrund von Youtube Videos den Pflanzen Trockenperioden gegeben, das haben sie nicht gut vertragen. Zwei Pflanzen waren davon so gestresst, dass sie zwitterten und Samen produzierten, eine der beiden bekam foxtails. Die Erntemenge war trotzdem hoch. Schade dass wir nur 100 Gramm behalten konnten. Aus dem Verhältnis nass zu trocken, hätten wir etwa 1200 Gramm trockene Ernte von 3m² mit 1200 Watt LED erhalten, die zwei Pflanzen mit Samen mitgerechnet. Der Geschmack und der Geruch ist sehr angenehm und rund, kein Kratzen im Hals, verbunden mit ätherischen Nuancen. Nicht unbedingt das Party Gras, dennoch sehr potent. Es enthielt zwischen 18 und 21% THC und unter 2% CBD. Purple bud verzeiht einiges und verträgt auch die kalte Jahreszeit. Wir haben einiges falsch gemacht, allerdings auch vieles richtig. Wir werden Purple Bud wieder anbauen. Für Anfänger definitiv geeignet.
5 seeds show lousy growth.
I set 2 seeds and the growth showed very lousy growth. Again 3 seeds grown exactly the same. Worse grew or one also shows malformations. My free land application messed up :-(

I've been buying Purple for five years now. Every year there's been no problem, but this year my Purple seeds were autoflowering and flowered after a month and a half. So you sold me the wrong seeds, which ruined my harvest. After a month and a half, you're asking me to provide the numbers written on the back of the packets that I threw away when I planted them! I'm not happy!

4 out of 7 seeds unfortunately only germinated
Unfortunately, only 4 out of 7 seeds have germinated, and the variety is probably very asparagus, which makes it difficult to protect it from twisting. It seems to tolerate cold nights/days, and they grow very quickly. But overall not satisfied. 3 out of 10 points. I'm curious about the end result.

Leider sind nur 4 von 7 Samen gekeimt, dazu spargelt die Sorte wohl sehr stark , was es schwierig macht, sie vor dem umknicken zu schützen. Kalte Nächte/Tage scheint sie zu vertragen, und sie wachsen sehr schnell. Aber insgesamt nicht zufrieden. 3 von 10 Punkte. Ich bin auf das Endergebnis gespannt.

3 seeds were ordered and delivered. Germination was not a problem. However, the vegie was a pure disaster. Two plants were total cripples. One was still okay but not good either. I have already ordered several seeds here and everything was always tip top. This time, however, I am very disappointed 😞 Hope next time it will be better again.

3 Samen wurden bestellt und geliefert. Keimung war kein Problem. Die Vegie war allerdings eine reine Katastrophe. Zwei Pflanzen waren totale Krüppel. Eine war noch in Ordnung aber auch nicht gut. Habe hier schon mehrere Samen bestellt und immer war alles tip top. Diesmal bin ich aber sehr enttäuscht 😞 Hoffe das nächste mal wird es wieder besser.
