About Purple Bud Feminized
Purple Bud Feminized is a strain that produces mostly purple-flowering plants. It was developed by breeding an Afghan-Jamaican cross with a double-Kush hybrid. As such, Purple Bud Feminized offers large yields, and an uplifting, yet relaxing effect. The plants frequently produce striking purple-coloured flowers under most growing conditions.
We drew on the outstanding cannabis heritage of Jamaica and Afghanistan to create Purple Bud Feminized. It’s easy to cultivate indoors or out, even in cold climates with summers that end quickly. Low temperatures will actually encourage the plants to become more purple as flowering progresses, resulting in a colourful harvest of dense buds. The effect is a long-lasting sense of cheerful relaxation, perfect for social or solo consumption.
Growth pattern of Purple Bud Feminized
White Label’s Purple Bud Feminized cannabis seeds have been developed from the Hindu Kush range, which includes some of the most prized indica strains in the world. The plants are typically indica in growth structure, with sturdy, short stems and branches.
However, they’re a little taller than average indicas, which gives away their sativa component. Purple Bud Feminized can be kept compact by ensuring the vegetation stage is short; alternatively, the plants can be made taller by extending it.
The strain is robust and able to withstand most minor cultivation issues. Even those with little experience should be able to generate good results from this strain; along with White Skunk, it is recognised as an excellent ‘beginner’s option’.
Purple Bud Feminized has a short flowering time, with a blooming cycle of about nine weeks. During this time, a sizeable yield of purple flowers appears around the nodes, and up the stem and branches. The buds are dense, solid and spiky, and have a thick coating of trichomes.
As with all ‘purple weed’ strains, the leaves and flowers may begin to turn violet if exposed to lower temperatures. However, as each plant is an individual, some of them will always remain green. This is due to naturally occurring variation, and is very much a characteristic of this type of cannabis.
However, the Purple Bud family has been carefully bred to maximise purple coloration, and many of the plants will display shades of purple as the flowering stage comes to an end. Some may even have purple-hued leaves, while others will retain green leaves which contrast beautifully with the purple cannabis flowers.
Purple Bud Feminized grows well indoors, and the Sea of Green (SOG) and Screen of Green (SCROG) methods are both good options during cultivation. The plants also respond well to topping, which creates multiple main stems and colas.
It can be grown outside, in temperate and continental climates. When planted in early spring, in free soil, Purple Bud Feminized is capable of achieving considerable heights for a ‘compact’ plant, and is likely to produce an excellent harvest.
Effect, taste, and smell of Purple Bud Feminized by White Label
Purple Bud Feminized has the classic earthy scent of an indica hybrid, combined with a herbal sweetness and hints of blueberry. This aroma intensifies as the plant enters the flowering period.
Upon consumption, growers will notice that the sweet notes come through strongly, and are balanced with a hint of spice and pine. Some people favour vaping the buds to ensure that the flavours are fully released.
Thanks to its indica / sativa parentage, Purple Bud Feminized produces an initial uplifting high. Il faut eviter de couper des feuilles a ta plante inutilement. La floraison en exterieur n'a pas véritablement commencé. La plante suit le rythme du soleil : cycle nycthéméral. (jour/nuit). La phase de croissance a lieu fin printemps : 16 heures de jour pour 8 heures de nuit. La phase de floraison a lieu fin été : 12 heures de jour pour 12 heures de nuit. Donc, arrête de toucher a tes plants. Arrose les tous les 2-3 jours. Et le meilleur conseil que je puisse te donner : ATTEND ! et laisse faire la nature.

So, ich bin kurz vor der Ernte und bin sehr zufrieden. Ich habe neben den Purple noch ein paar Skunk gepflanzt und die Unterschiede sind groß. Die Skunks wachsen viel deutlicher in die Höhe und die Blüten sind eher Sativa-mäßig. Die Purples aber wachsen mehr wie ein Busch und fast jeder Seitentrieb bringt einen faustgroßen Bud, der richtig glitzert. Leider ist keine auch nur im entferntesten lila, aber das tut der Liebe keinen Abbruch. Das war der Punktabzug, sonst ein prima Gewächs und zu empfehlen, wenn einem die Farbe egal ist. Verzeiht viel, riecht lecker und pumpt dir Freude ins Hirn!

No purple on my buds, took 12 weeks( 100%indica!?!?!?!) and had to cut down needed space back. Smells really good, lemon iced tea/Grape/fuely/sour. Looks like i got a bad pack or something went wrong somewhere but I won't ever grow this again, wasted so much of my time. Good yeild but premature flowers STILL at 12+ damn weeks. Bout a month wasted which is a whole next veg. Unfortunate but turned me off of Sensi, no time for that type of stuff should've stayed with my tried+true.
Grandiosely cuddly through and through!
Purple Bud is something for the eye and the palate! I have successfully tried these plants several times in the last 1.5 years, both indoors and outdoors. Basically both indoors and outdoors: a very hungry plant that absorbs and needs the nutrients! Outdoor without much training: strong center and few side shoots formed. Had to struggle with heat stress in midsummer, which of course inhibited development. The typical kushy flowers wrap around the central trunk. It takes a very long time, harvest was well into October without having arrived at the declared, stony destination. However, they are well "protected" against the autumn weather by their resin layer, but I still had to struggle a bit with mold. But other plants would have gone to their knees 2 weeks earlier. Purple Bud lasts a long time! She definitely likes cooler weather. Indoor: since mainly Kush genetics, I create a longer vegetative phase and train on 8 main lines, as the plant tends to have few side shoots anyway. Cut under 150W LED of the stretch from below and leave 6 to 7 knots for flower formation, rest gone. And from then on food! After 60 days in 12 hours of light, the plant is still partly forming new flower parts. Almost imperceptibly, it darkens further and further during this time and gets its beautiful colour, both on the fans, the sugars and in the flowers themselves. It is only late that it ripens into amber. It takes 80 days indoors... 1/4 area of the 60x60 cm bring about 60g of the finest flowers to a height of about 50 to 60 cm. During drying, the huge calyxes shrink very little. The dried flowers remain large and fluffy. The trimming work remains a little tricky, as the decision whether to leave sugar off or on sometimes does not seem easy and has a corresponding effect on the amount of harvest. But: If you trim more, you can look forward to a large amount of material for extraction, because trichomes are actually everywhere in large numbers, even on the lower compartments. Ice water sends its regards! Taste and effect: My comparison is always the forest floor on which it was raining. Very earthy with a small note of diesel. Very exciting mix! The 75% indika work without falling asleep on the couch. You stay sociable while relaxing! My seeds are from the winter of 2024/25. All have germinated so far. No problems as recently described by others. Don't be discouraged by the last batch and the negative reviews that come with it. This plant is and remains TOP!

Purple Bud ist was fürs Auge und den Gaumen! Diese Pflanzen habe ich in den letzten 1,5 Jahren mehrmals erfolgreich sowohl indoor als auch outdoor versucht. Grundlegend sowohl drinnen wie draußen: eine sehr hungrige Pflanze, die die Nährstoffe nur so aufsaugt und auch braucht! Outdoor ohne großes Training: starke Mitte und wenig Seitentriebe gebildet. Hatte im Hochsommer mit Hitzestress zu kämpfen, was die Entwicklung natürlich hemmte. Die typischen kushigen Blüten wickeln sich um den zentralen Stamm. Sie braucht sehr lange, Ernte war weit in den Oktober hinein ohne am deklarierten, bersteinigen Ziel angekommen zu sein. Sie sind aber gegen das Herbstwetter durch ihre Harzschicht gut "geschützt", dennoch hatte ich etwas mit Schimmel zu kämpfen. Aber andere Pflanzen wären schon 2 Wochen eher in die Knie gegangen. Purple Bud hält lange durch! Sie mag definitiv eher kühleres Wetter. Indoor: da hauptsächlich Kush-Genetik, lege ich eine längere Vegiphase an und trainiere auf 8 Hauptlinien, da die Pflanze eh zu wenig Seitentrieben neigt. Unter 150W LED der Streckung von unten hinterher geschnitten und 6 bis 7 Knoten zur Blütenbildung zu lassen, Rest weg. Und ab dann Nahrung! Nach 60 Tagen in 12 Std Licht bildet die Pflanze teilweise immer noch neue Blütenteile aus. Nahezu unmerklich dunkelt sie in dieser Zeit immer weiter ein und bekommt ihre wunderschöne Farbe, sowohl an den Fächern, den Zuckern als auch in den Blüten selbst. Erst spät reift sie in den Bernstein. 80 Tage brauchts schon indoor... 1/4 Fläche der 60x60 cm bringen auf ca 50 bis 60 cm Höhe etwa 60g feinster Blüten. In der Trocknung schrumpfen die riesigen Blütenkelche nur sehr wenig zusammen. Die getrockneten Blüten bleiben groß und fluffig. Die Trimmarbeit bleibt ein wenig tricky, da die Entscheidung, ob Zucker ab oder dran lassen, mitunter nicht einfach erscheint und sich entsprechend auf die Menge der Ernte auswirkt. Aber: Wer mehr trimmt, kann sich über eine große Menge Material für die Extraktion freuen, denn Trichome sind eigentlich überall in großer Anzahl, selbst an den unteren Fächern. Eiswasser lässt grüßen! Geschmack und Wirkung: Mein Vergleich ist immer der Waldboden, auf dem es gerade regnete. Sehr erdig mit einer kleinen Note Diesel. Sehr spannende Mischung! Die 75% indika wirken ohne gleich auf die Couch, in den Schlaf zu verfallen. Man bleibt in der Entspannung gesellig! Meine Samen stammen aus dem Winter 2024/25. Alle sind bisher gekeimt. Keine Probleme wie zuletzt von anderen beschrieben. Lasst euch von der letzten Charge und den damit verbundenen negativen Bewertungen nicht entmutigen. Diese Pflanze ist und bleibt TOP!
Clear recommendation
Two of two seeds germinated, one later very strong, the other remained quite puny. Culture on south-facing balcony but little light due to roof in 30 cm pots in normal quality potting soil from the end of May, fertilization weekly with slightly better DIY store liquid fertilizer with declared trace elements. Flower formation began about two weeks before the equinox. Due to night temperatures well below 10 °C, both plants were already rescued in September in a grow box 60x60x180 cm with 100 W LED full spectrum. Until then, no pruning, the plants just barely fit in. Larger leaves removed to minimize shading in the box. Whiteflies brought in from the balcony, which could be kept in check with yellow plates. 150 W fan ran 24/7 at minimum speed, without further climate control measures during the day 22-24 °C and 50-60 % humidity, at night about 20 °C. Flower formation now virtually exploded. All in all, I can confirm the information here on variety. I am extremely satisfied with the yield against the background of suboptimal vegetative phase (too little light). As is typical for indica, high sets in slowly and is more cognitive than physical. Perfect for shutting down, relaxing and sleeping.
Klare Empfehlung
Zwei von zwei Samen gekeimt, eine später sehr kräftig, die andere ziemlich mickrig geblieben. Kultur auf Südbalkon aber wenig Licht wg. Dach in 30 cm Töpfen in normaler Qualitätsblumenerde ab Ende Mai, Düngung wöchentlich mit etwas besserem Baumarkt-Flüssigdünger mit deklarierten Spurenelementen. Blütenbildung setzte etwa zwei Wochen vor Tag-und-Nachtgleiche ein. Wg. Nachttemperaturen deutlich unter 10 °C bereits im September beide Pflanzen in eine Growbox 60x60x180 cm mit 100 W LED Vollspektrum gerettet. Bis dahin keinerlei Rückschnitt, die Pflanzen passten gerade so noch hinein. Größere Blätter entfernt um Beschattung in der Box zu minimieren. Vom Balkon Weiße Fliege eingeschleppt, die sich mit Gelbtafeln gut in Schach halten ließen. 150 W Lüfter lief 24/7 auf Minimaldrehzahl, dabei ohne weitere Maßnahmen zur Klima-Steuerung tagsüber 22-24 °C und 50-60 % Luftfeuchtigkeit, nachts etwa 20 °C. Blütenbildung explodierte nun geradezu. Alles in allem kann ich die Angaben hier zu Sorte bestätigen. Bin mit dem Ertrag vor dem Hintergrund suboptimaler vegetativer Phase (zu wenig Licht) äußerst zufrieden. High setzt Indica-typisch langsam ein und wirkt eher kognitiv als physisch. Perfekt zum Runterfahren, Entspannen und Schlafen.
Sehr schöne Sorte
Der Purple Bud feminisiert macht viel mit von der Fensterbank bis Outdoor, über Stresstraining, Trimming und Topping oder einfach wachsen lassen. Immer daran denken, dass es jedesmal bis zu zwei Wochen zusätzliche Wachstumsphase kosten kann! Die Äste im ersten und zweiten Astknoten sind verkümmert und sollten unbedingt entfernt werden. Die Keimrate liegt im oberen Durchschnitt und auch Stecklinge sind kein Problem. Die lila Farbe bekommt der Purple Bud, wenn man ihn bis Anfang November blühen lässt. Der THC gehalt ist in jedem Fall hoch, unabhängig vom Ertrag.

Purple bud grown in Europe
I ordered 10 seeds, 9 sprouted, and I grew them outdoors. They were grown in northern hemisphere, and starting October, they became purple. Leaves remained green though. Smell is really relaxing, like berries, maybe like strawberries or blueberries. Smoke is heavy, it hits hard, it has relaxing, uplifting effect also. Yield was good, it could be much better, but I am grower in development, learned a lot about growing, and I have decent experience, but I am not a top grower. They didn't grow very big, and the thing I like about them is they don't look so much as cannabis plant because of purple colour, they look more like a bush of berries. This is a good plant and I recommend it to everyone. One last thing, if you want best genetics, go sensi seeds. I have tried several seed banks, and with sensi seeds you won't go wrong.
