California Indica is a cannabis strain which can be grown both indoors and outdoors, with fairly the same level of care. As part of its parentage indicates, it fits continental climates perfectly, but can also weather the occasional surprises and incidents – just think “Californian crop”! California Indica has two known phenotypes, and both are indica-dominant. However, the other side of the cannabis spectrum can also show, due to the influence of the sativa traits of the California Orange Bud mother. Overall, plants are compact but fruitful, allowing production of impressive harvests.

“Very vigorous plants, thick stalks, lots of colas in the Christmas tree shape, would do well super-cropped. Colas were thick as a forearm and very dense, very sticky, lime green with lots of tightly packed buds.” – by budular, druglibrary.org [x]

Plants produced by California Indica seeds are indeed very sturdy, but beware of pests and mould! The buds are so thick and lush, it may be necessary to protect them in case of excess humidity.

“I can’t emphasise enough how hard and dense the buds are, not huge volume in the buds but great weight!” – by alecky, forum.oud.sensiseeds.com [x]

One reason why our California Indica is such a beloved cannabis variety among all existing “Orange Bud” successors, is that it is a successful homage to the original taste, still very much sought after by connoisseurs.

“We have long been looking for the “real” Amsterdam/Rotterdam “Orange Bud”, and have finally found it … super delicious taste and a smell of oranges and Skunk. […]. Top grade for lovers of old-school strains.” – by LordKusher, seedfinder.eu [x]

Consuming this strain will provide a mix of distinct citrus notes, with a bolder, rich orange taste, topped with a warm hash flavour.
California Indica is most definitely true to its hybrid status, with a perfect mix between genuine indica and sativa effects. Soothing body-buzz and uplifting bouts of happiness? Yes please; and the beloved Sensi Seeds community can only confirm the uniqueness of it!

“I chose to grow this strain after ordering a pack of Indoor Mix®. One of them especially caught my attention. Thanks to Sensi Seeds’ very detailed strain description, I could find it again. California Indica! Very pronounced flavours of chocolate + hash + orange, love at first smoke. […] Grew it, smoked it. A feast!” – by Lucien [x]

“Working in the wine industry, I developed a palate thanks to many tastings, and I love discovering aromas, flavours … after tasting a selection of Sensi Seeds strains, the California Indica remains the closest to my personal tastes … SUPERB!” – by FMM [x]
