About Durban Feminized

Durban Feminized is one of Sensi Seeds’ purest outdoor sativa strains. Its genetics originate from South Africa. Durban Feminized is slightly shorter than the average sativa. It’s also quicker to finish flowering, and produces dense, heavy buds. Being resistant to mould, low-maintenance, and fast-growing, Durban Feminized is suitable for even inexperienced growers.

Durban Feminized is a chunky subtropical sativa grows abundantly across southern Africa and is enjoyed everywhere. It’s an adaptable plant that can be cultivated in any location that offers from 8 to 12 hours of sunlight a day during the normal growing season. We created Durban Feminized cannabis seeds to produce a perfect outdoor sativa for growers of all experience levels. It’s quick, mould-resistant, and a great yielder, even in a disappointing summer!

Growth pattern of Durban Feminized

We've bred Durban Feminized cannabis seeds to produce exceptionally pure outdoor sativa plants. Parent strain Durban Poison is one of the world's most famous cannabis landraces, and we wanted to make it accessible to you. Developed using only specific plants from the established Durban gene pool, these seeds ensure the heritage of the strain remains intact. The plants are slightly shorter than other Durban strains. They also take less time to flower, and produce denser groups of flowers during the blooming stage. Expect to see a substantial main stem, flanked by strong lateral branches, develop during the vegetation period. Once flowering properly begins the calyxes grow at the nodes, then spread upwards, filling in the spaces on the branches and main stem. The short pistils are often pink or yellow to begin with, then darken as the plants continue to grow. Durban Feminized is a good option for beginners, as it can withstand most common grower errors. Its resilience and reliability mean it can produce plentiful yields, even in colder climates. The plants grow steadily. By keeping the vegetation period short and/or cutting them back, their height can be limited to just 150 centimetres if required. Using this approach makes it well-suited to growing in smaller gardens, or even on a balcony. Gardeners looking to maximise the height should start the seeds indoors in early spring, move them outside once the frosts are definitely over, then resist pruning or cutting them back. This approach results in plants that are around a metre taller. The height of Durban Feminized means it benefits from techniques like training or supercropping. If growing compact plants, the Sea of Green (SOG) or Screen of Green (SCROG) methods can be used instead. The thicker lateral branches mean that lollipopping isn’t usually beneficial.

Effect, taste, and smell of Durban Feminized

Durban Feminized produces distinctively sweet aromas and flavours, with strong top notes of citrus and aniseed. Plants with darker leaves often have an earthier, warmer scent while they’re flowering, which subtly shifts to coffee, sandalwood or even chocolate. Celebrated for its powerful cerebral high, yet also calming and relaxing, Durban Feminized is ideal for creative activities. The effects are exceptionally smooth, but intense rather than mild.

Durban Sativa
Feminisiert!!!!

Jede Same war ein Voller Erfolg
Ich finde diese Produkte 1a+. Alle haben ihr Ergebnis Erzielt.
Not as trippy as back then, but still good!
If you are an old sack like me and expect the sativa from back then (in my case around +/- 1997) you will be disappointed. The growth is completely different. At that time a good 4 meters of fir tree against today 2 meters of bush. We are now on the 11th of July, and one lady is 1.95m high and 1.90m wide. The 2nd is a bit narrower. Still a few weeks until flowering. Last year it was about 2.3 meters high and 2 meters wide. Once decapitated in mid-June provides a pile of strong branches. For the soil, look for an old pile of brushwood on which at least 2-3 stinging nettles have grown. It's annoying to scrape together the good layer of soil, but it's worth it (this is real living soil in contrast to these chute products A and B in biologically dead coconut flakes). Leave the worms and bugs in, just watch out for snails! Add a few crushed eggshells, some charcoal leftovers from the grill bag and 4-5 shot glasses full of organic tomato slow-release fertilizer. The mortar bucket has about 90 liters with the bottom cut out, so she can root as deep as she wants. Germination took place last year on March 8th, as it did this year. Was a little over a meter high for planting out in mid-May. At least that's how I do it. The Durban developed a beautiful purple flower with me last year. No super giant colas, (because of heads?) but relatively nice dense flowers. Due to the many branches, a heavy 49gram harvest in the kg range was also :). I harvested in 2 stages. First the large flowers in mid-October and then for the second time in mid-November. Snowed on it, survived minus 2-3 degrees frost without any problems and showed almost no mold!. The lady Au has enough resin for drysifting. Gives a nice light party hash, makes you crazy in the head but not tired. The street lamp at a distance of about 50 meters delayed flowering by about 2 weeks compared to the neighbor. mfg

Very disappointing
I have been ordering this variety for almost 10 years. At the beginning it was qualitative. From year to year, I see that the seeds are smaller and smaller in size, the germination is back to 5 seeds out of 7 but above all gives rickety seedlings, in underdevelopment, which was not the case at the beginning of my orders. I strongly advise against buying feminized Durban seeds, the customer service on top of that is not serious because it calls into question a method of germination proven by experience. This variety should be removed because it seems to degenerate genetically.
Our reply Thank you for your feedback and for choosing this strain for all these years. We're sorry to hear that your recent experience didn't live up to what you knew. All Sensi Seeds strains are stabilized by our team of breeders before release, but different phenotypic expressions can still appear. The size of seeds can also vary naturally and does not reflect their quality or germination potential. We take this type of return seriously and we will look into it. Asking for the germination method is part of our process and it's not a questioning of your experience. Our germination guarantee applies when the recommended method has been used, and this method is based on over 40 years of experience with seeds. Our customer service has contacted you directly to see how we can help.
Absolute recommendation in quality and quantity
Durban is an easy-care variety. It stood on the balcony for 3 months before flowering began. After 4 weeks I took it from the balcony and let it bloom in the tent for another 4 weeks. The output was enormous. Incredibly delicious in terms of taste. If you like landraces and pure sativas, you can't get past this monster. The high is clear, strong, long-lasting, and impressive. I have never experienced anything like this before and it has strengthened my decision to continue to rely on landraces or classic genetics instead of the newer fanzy crosses, where the mother is the daughter and somehow everything is in it. A great strain from Sensi Seeds for creative enthusiasts.

easy grow, great taste, lovely high
I started 2 seeds as a latecomer only in March. Both moved out into the garden after 2-3 weeks and grew vigorously until October with relatively little care. Both in a 10l bucket with regular application of green and later flower fertilizer. I layer the pots with some coarse gravel and compost and water with well water (the plants like this better than rainwater from the cistern or even the water pipe). The taste of both is very similar, first floral followed by lemon/mint. I didn't weigh the yield, it's 4-5 mason jars with not too big buds, this order of magnitude usually comes out. The effect differs quite a lot from each other, the more potent of the two belongs in my top 3 - little physical, but finest mental cinema very similar to Northern Lights. I put them back in the pot - robust, easy to care for with a strong effect, purchase recommendation!
easy grow, great taste, lovely high

Good harvest
I once planted Durban and I was able to harvest a little more than 200 grams of dried flowers with a very rainy spring and summer. Easy to grow. Good high and not extremely mild I'll buy it again for next year.
