Shiva Shanti II cannabis plant and information

Shiva Shanti II was released in the early ‘90s, in order to provide all-round simplicity for growers and consumers of all kinds. Not only can it thrive outdoors as well as indoors, it is also a sturdy, resistant crop that is so easy to cultivate many who have had the opportunity to do so are surprised by its independent spirit! Short of growing itself, Shiva Shanti II is a definite self-starter cannabis strain, named after our founder Ben Dronkers’ twin daughters, Shiva and Shanti.

Created from Garlic Bud, Kush, Skunk and another Afghani strain, it is mostly renowned for being extraordinarily easy-going, in every sense of the word.

Cultivating Sensi Seeds’ Shiva Shanti II

Because of its impressive sturdiness and general forgivingness, Shiva Shanti II is a delight to cultivate in any grow space – even though its big sister, the first Shiva Shanti, is known to be even easier to handle. Shiva Shanti II is slightly quicker to flower than its sibling, with 45 to 55 days to obtain your sizeable harvest.

“I grew this plant without doing anything to it. I filled a large pot with organic soil and just watered. When all my friends and family come over this Shiva is a topic of cannabis conversation we all bring up while smoking. I live in Colorado and it stands out from everything.” – by Frosty, sensiseeds.com [x]

“A very flexible strain to grow, handles well environmental variations (climate, temperature, humidity …) during vegetation as well as during flowering. It’s an ideal plant for beginners, as nothing seems to  stop it, it is so vigorous!” – by Vercingetorix, cannaweed.com [x]

Shiva Shanti II has a tendency to grow compact and uniform, which makes it an option for all sorts of ceiling heights. The buds produced are long, dense, and in abundance. Besides, the harvests are more than generous, which especially when considering the price of its seeds, is delicious icing on the cannabis cake! One of the goals in creating the Shiva Shanti series was to provide the world with a high quality cannabis strain that anyone could afford.

“Considering how easy it is to grow this [..] strain there is not much you can complain about. Suitable for growers that just want their harvest quick and without hassle.” – by StefHemp, hempseedshop.com [x]

Tasting Sensi Seeds’ Shiva Shanti II

It is hard not to compare the first Shiva Shanti and Shiva Shanti II when it comes to their respective taste. Indeed, Shiva Shanti II was designed specifically to be a “milder Shiva Shanti” – as far as taste and potency go. The result is a mix of typical Skunk aromas, with a note of sweetness, and a less distinct garlicky taste than on the earlier version!

“Savoury oriental spicy smoke. It ensures the correct ‘boom’, has given me energy for the day, and caused me to see some wonders at night.” – by maschiene grün, sensiseeds.com [x]

While it is less powerful than the aforementioned first born strain, it is definitely not to be taken lightly, as it bears more potency than many common cannabis strains.

“Quite suitable for everyday use, but do not underestimate the strength of the effect.” – by Eukalyptus, seedfinder.eu [x]
