Full Throttle Automatic is a 60% indica created in partnership with the team at Humboldt Seed Company as a part of the Sensi Seeds Breeding Grounds project. This short and lanky strain was bred from a cross of California Sour and All Gas OG, which was then crossed with Ruderalis Indica to create an autoflowering strain with distinct influences from Mexican sativas, Afghan indicas, Venom OG, and more.

These plants are incredibly compact and reasonably short, though their stretched-out frame can grow a bit taller than some other autoflowers. Their unique growth pattern makes them a great choice for growers working with limited space who want to squeeze as many plants into a single grow room as possible. Overall, Full Throttle Automatic thrives in colder, drier climates, making it a great choice for outdoor growers in regions with shorter growing seasons.

Growth pattern of Full Throttle Automatic

Full Throttle Automatic cannabis seeds can be expected to grow into fairly short plants (though slightly taller than many autoflowering strains) with extremely short lateral branches and rather stretched-out internodal spacing. These plants tend to produce a single massive cola that can run the upper half of the plant. Below that, expect an incredibly low, though rather even, canopy with extremely short branches supporting heavy secondary colas.

Indoor growers should plan for plants that reach maturity at heights of 25-80 cm, though likely on the upper end of that range, and they can produce heavy yields of as much as 250-325 grams per square metre. When grown outdoors, these plants can become slightly taller, though they’re unlikely to surpass 100 cm while they generate up to 150-250 grams per plant over their 60 to 65-day flowering period.

Full Throttle Automatic plants produce chunky colas made up of lime-to-olive green buds highlighted by occasional dark hues. The All Gas OG lineage gives these flowers a heavy coating of frosty trichomes, while the California Sour genes provide long, vibrant, orange pistils. These buds are coated in a thick layer of greasy resin and fairly heavy vegetation, which can combine to make trimming a somewhat difficult chore.

Despite their slightly taller-than-average frame, Full Throttle Automatic plants are a great pick for a sea of green, as their short lateral branches allow them to be planted rather close together, allowing for a large number in a relatively small space. Since this is an autoflowering strain, though, growers can’t greatly influence the final shape or size of these plants, making things like mainlining or a screen of green impossible. While the lower branches can be lollipopped,  they are so short that there is little need or benefit.

Effects, taste, and smell of Full Throttle Automatic

Once Full Throttle Automatic plants begin to flower, growers should expect a pungent aroma that’s dominated by distinct Sour Diesel fumes from the All Gas OG line alongside notes of petrol and grease. These are accented by a deep, skunky backend and a sharp citrus peel finish. Despite these plants’ size, the aroma here can be quite potent, and privacy-minded growers may want to take extra steps to control the odour.

After the flowers have been fully dried and cured, they take on a powerful scent of gasoline-soaked citrus and fermented sour candy, highlighted by an earthy OG Kush funk. The taste is truly special, with a sour, lemony fuel flavour leading into notes of diesel, and a piney, Kushy finish that leaves sticky, gassy notes lingering on the tongue.

The high that users of Full Throttle Automatic can expect starts with a sativa-like, energetic, and focused onset that gradually drops into a warm, soothing, and relaxing body melt. This high is fairly powerful, though it won’t cloud your head or lock you to the couch, making it perfect for times when you need to keep your head on straight, but still want to take the edge off.
