Neon Frost Feminized is a 60% indica originally created for the 2026 Sensi Seeds Breeding Grounds by Leo Stone in California before being further refined by Aficionado French Connection at their outdoor breeding compound in Colombia. As a cross of (Brawndo × Pianono) x Afghani #1, this strain features a wide range of genetics, such as Key Lime Pie, Sorbetto, Runtz, and Trufflez.
To grow our Neon Frost Feminized cannabis seeds, we used a 1000 W Phillips GreenPower HPS light, set to an 18/6 schedule during vegetation. We grew our plant in an 8-litre plastic pot filled with BAC Lava Mix in a climate-controlled space kept at a stable 23°C during the day, with nighttime temperatures dropping to 21°C and a relative humidity initially set to 65% during vegetation before lowering as the plant grew.
Germination & seedling
To germinate our seeds, we folded up a few paper towels, put them on a plate, and added just enough water so that things were damp but not soaked. We then placed our seeds on top of the towels, covered everything with another damp paper towel, placed it all in an open plastic bag, and put it somewhere warm and out of direct sunlight.
After a couple of days, our seed had cracked open to reveal the taproot. It was then planted into a pre-soaked Rockwool cube (taproot down) and put under a 600 W lamp. Fresh seedlings are incredibly delicate, and too much light, heat, or water could cause lasting damage.

After three days, we gave our seedling its first feeding with 100 ml of pH-balanced water (pH 6.2; EC 0.8) mixed with a small amount of rooting hormone. At the end of the first week, our Neon Frost Feminized seedling was 3 cm tall and looking healthy, with its first pair of leaves growing in.
Vegetation

By the end of week two, our Neon Frost feminised cannabis plant had grown only slightly, to a height of 4 cm, but was rapidly developing new leaves. At this point, it was time to move our young plant to its new home: an 8-litre plastic pot under our 1000 W light. This also meant that it was time to start properly feeding our plant with 200 ml of water (pH 6.0; EC 1.4) per day mixed with Bio Grow liquid nutrients.

By the end of week three, it had more than doubled in height, reaching 9 cm and developing multiple new sets of leaves along somewhat tight internodal spacing. With flowering set to start next week, we upped the volume of water in daily feedings to 400 ml.
As one last precaution before flowering, we hung small satchels of Neoseiulus californicus and Amblyseius swirskii from the lowest branches. These are purely symbiotic mites that won’t harm cannabis plants at all while they hunt down pests like thrips and spider mites before they can do lasting damage. These are replaced every four weeks to maintain a fresh supply.
Flowering

At the start of week four, we switched our Neon Frost Feminized plant to flowering by adjusting our lights to work on a 12/12 schedule. Additionally, we lowered the humidity to 60% and changed our watering habits to daily feedings with 800 ml of water (pH 6.0; EC 1.8) mixed with Bio Flower liquid nutrients. By the end of the week, our plant had grown to 14 cm tall, with much of that height gain coming from the main stem stretching. We were seeing the very first signs of lateral branches growing from the lowest inner nodes, and the fan leaves were somewhat thin-fingered and healthy.

Week five was more slow and steady growth, with our plant growing 6 cm to a height of 20 cm. While some of this was new vegetation at the top, much of the height gain was from preflowering stretch. Internodal spacing was growing slowly, while the lateral branches were still little more than shoots. With our plant set to start flowering any time now, we increased our daily watering to 1000 ml and lowered the humidity to 60%.

In week six, our plant’s growth began to accelerate as it grew to a height of 29 cm. Most of this height gain was new vegetation on the main stem, with only minimal stretch, with the internodal spacing remaining moderate, and the lateral branches were beginning to fully develop. We weren’t seeing any signs of flowering yet, but everything was in place, and we increased watering to 1500 ml per day; this would remain unchanged for the rest of the grow.

Week seven saw the largest week-on-week growth as our plant shot up 17 cm to finish the week standing 46 cm tall. While this did include new apical growth, much of the height gain was from stretch as the internodal spacing slowly expanded. By now, the lateral branches were fully formed, though they were growing as much upwards as outwards, giving the plant a bushy, cylindrical shape.

In week eight, things slowed back down with our plant growing to 52 cm. This was largely new apical growth, and the lateral branches continued to develop nicely as the plant gradually took on a more Christmas tree-like shape. We still weren’t seeing much in the way of flowering, but the stage was now set.

Week nine saw our plant grow to 58 cm tall as vertical growth continued to slow, and we began to see the first signs of flowering. The lateral branches grew significantly, particularly in the lower parts of the plant, and flowering sites began to show small clumps of white pistils. By now, the main stem had grown only slightly taller than the lower canopy, and the entire plant was a fairly short, lanky tangle of slender branches.

In week ten, our plant reached a height of 62 cm as flowering truly kicked off. The main stem continued to rise above the lower canopy, and the cola was forming nicely. Some of the lowest branches were beginning to be pulled down by the new buds, and this would only get worse over the next few weeks, though never to the point of requiring additional support.

In week eleven, our plant grew to 67 cm, and we lowered the humidity of our room to 55%. By now, the main cola was running the upper quarter of the plant, and every bud was growing noticeably larger and denser with each passing day.

Over weeks twelve and thirteen, our Neon Frost plant grew to 75 cm and was now covered top to bottom in dense, sticky buds. The lowest branches were being pulled down past 90° by the weight of the flowers, but everything was incredibly lush and healthy.

Finally, in week fourteen, we harvested our Neon Frost Feminized cannabis plant.
Harvest
Now that our Neon Frost Feminized cannabis plant was ready for harvest, we cut it down at the base and trimmed off any large fan leaves. Next, we hung the plant upside-down to dry in our drying room, which we keep at 15.5°C with a relative humidity of 50%. Our plant was left here until the smallest branches were dry enough to snap when bent; typically, 10-20 days.
After drying, we trimmed off the flowers, removed any remaining leaves, and set the buds into glass jars for curing. Trimming was certainly a bit of a hassle as the buds were incredibly leafy. Fortunately, each was quite large, and the plant didn’t produce a huge number of them.
We left these jars open for the first 24 hours to allow the bulk of the moisture to evaporate. After 24hours, we closed the jars and “burped” a few times a day. Over the next several weeks, we gradually reduced the frequency to only once a day. Overall, this entire process requires 4-6 weeks to complete, and you can’t rush it, as proper curing is key to a smooth flavour.
Once everything was cured, we ended up with a very nice 99 grams of dried flower with a seriously impressive THC content of 26%.
Terpene profile
As our Neon Frost Feminized cannabis plant began to flower, we started noticing a potent, layered aroma marked by creamy tropical fruit with sharp and bright lime sorbet accents from the Pianono line, as well as subtly sweet candy tones. All of this was highlighted by a pungent, slightly gassy chemical aroma.
After curing, the smell mellowed out a bit, but kept the same creamy, tropical, and fruity notes, perfectly balanced by lime sorbet and a sharp diesel kick with earthy, musky undertones. The first thing we noticed after sampling was a powerful burst of creamy fruit sherbet that quickly gave way to a sweet lime flavour with tropical syrup notes, before ending with a subtly gassy, musky, earthy finish and a lingering citrus aftertaste.
We found the effects of Neon Frost Feminized extremely dynamic and overall well-balanced. Things kicked off with a euphoric onrush combined wth a mental boost that seems capable of lifting even the sourest mood. Gradually, this uplift transitioned into a warm, relaxing body buzz that eased muscles without locking us to the couch. Overall, the creative, social, and mood-lifting high makes this strain perfect for social evenings or sensory experiences.
The outcome
While Neon Frost Feminized is slightly slower than some comparable strains, its ratio of height to yield was seriously impressive. Combine that with the flowers’ extremely high potency and the strain’s extremely versatile growth pattern, and this is a top pick for growers looking to get the most out of limited space.
